The name for this project comes from a Charles City High School class, Iowa Big North. A group of students worked on a project they called "Town of Colors", the plan was to create public art in Charles City. Several community members saw their presentation and formed a committee which is sponsored by the Charles City Arts Center. The first two murals were completed in July, 2021.
